Author Allen Taylor has been writing professionally or semi-professionally for more than 40 years. A native Texan, he has won awards for his poetry, fiction, and journalism. He’s worked as a freelance writer, ghostwriter, book editor, newspaper editor, and more. Before turning to writing full time, he was a National Guard officer and worked in sales and marketing. Today, he’s a full-time writer, editor, and publisher.
As a multi-genre writer, Allen Taylor writes and publishes books in several different categories. These include:
- Speculative Fiction – Allen’s speculative fiction stories cross boundaries many writers are afraid to explore. From fantasy to horror, as well as various subgenres, Allen often drifts into slipstream, weird tales, and absurdities. He is the editor of the popular Biblical Legends Anthology Series, a unique multi-author series of short fiction that defies as it honors biblical literature.
- Christian Nonfiction – Author of I Am Not the King, Allen has other Christian nonfiction titles on the way.
- Crypto/Web3 – Allen has written two books on Web3 social media, one of which was published through a business publisher and one which he self-published. While these books are similar, they are not identical. Allen has spent much time writing about emerging technologies. Keep an eye out for other books like these.
- Children’s Books – Recently, Allen Taylor has delved into writing children’s books. He has one early reader chapter book published, with more on the way, and a coloring book for children ages 3-12.
- Humor/Satire – Allen also has one humor/satire book. Rumor has it he had a partner in crime. Could there be other heists in the works?
